Improved Access to Healthcare Services
In healthcare, collaboration between healthcare providers, community-based organizations, and public health agencies can lead to improved access to healthcare services, increased patient engagement, and better health outcomes. By working together, healthcare providers can address the social determinants of health that impact the health of the community, such as poverty, housing, education, and transportation.
While being an active part of the community, we can also improve the quality of care provided to patients. By fostering relationships between healthcare providers and patients, patients can feel more empowered to take an active role in their own care. This can lead to improved communication, increased patient satisfaction, and better health outcomes. In addition, community-based organizations can provide valuable resources and support to patients, such as transportation to medical appointments, food assistance, and social support.
We care about our community, and we are deeply connected to it through our families, friends, and support groups. By collaborating with Chamber of Commerce, regional colleges and universities, corporate boards, and more, healthcare providers can address the needs of the whole patient and improve the overall health of the community. In addition to these organizations, all our physicians are members of the following affiliates:
- American Society for Enhanced Recovery and Perioperative Medicine
- American Society of Anesthesiologists
- Michigan Society of Anesthesiologists
- Kent County Medical Society
- Answer Health
